August 22 - Added a "More Tips" section with suggestions on how to design a poster for your book signings and other events.
August 18 - Got the first proof back from the publisher. Have been tweaking it over the weekend and today. Added a Wiki page to this site but can't figure out how to utilize it yet.
August 14 - I signed the deal today! How to Promote Your Book on a Shoestring Budget will be published by Darden & Associates through another publisher, and printed and distributed by the other publisher. The reason Darden & Associates will show up as publisher is... I already had everything, including the bar code. Since the bar code is registered to Darden & Associates, we remain the technical publishers. So I have my cake and can eat it, too!
August 13 - New photos added to Gallery.
August 10 - Finally started work on the "About Us" page which has been a copy-and-past from another article I posted just to have something up there. Most pages are still under construction, but I need to have this site ready to go when the book release is announced! Not long now! Added four new links.
August 9 - Set up some book signings in Mt. Airy, North Carolina for both the Mayberry Poetry books and How to Promote Your Book. Book Signings at Mayberry on Main, Mt. Airy, NC: Thursday, September 25: 7 to 8 PM; Friday, September 26: 11 to noon; 6 PM to 7 PM; Saturday, September 27: After parade to noon; 5:30 to 7 PM
8/8/8 - WooHoo! Book is reformatted and at the new publisher! Just waiting on final price per book to make a decision!
August 7 - Added Tips section to Extras page.
August 6 - I am reformatting the book in hopes of making the overall size of the book smaller (it is currently 8 1/2" by 11") to get a better publishing rate and to get all my side bars and graphics in a form I can send to the new publisher.
July 29 - Publishing date is being pushed back to negotiate with another publisher.
July 23 - Upgraded to MacMini - even newer and faster!
July 18 - Purchased a new iMac. Now we can do more and do it better, faster!
